Meeting: CMP Agreement with the North Dakota DOT Design and Construction regarding Main Avenue Reconstruction in West Fargo. Engineer The North Dakota Department of Transportation plans to reconstruct Main Avenue from the 1-94 Interchange near the Fairgrounds to Sheyenne Street in West Fargo in 2015. The segment of the project near the County Highway Department is currently outside the city limits of West Fargo. Cass County signed a MOU back in December 2008 agreeing to the project cost share for the County. The agreement is for the County to fund 19% of the cost of the associated multi-use trail outside of the City limits adjacent to the County Highway Department and Fairgrounds and to assume maintenance responsibilities for this segment of trail. The cost to Cass County is , ith the construction scheduled for 2015. The Department of Transportation has requested that the County sign the enclosed Cost Participation and Maintenance Agreement outlining the project responsibilities. I recommend approval of the proposed agreement. SUGGESTED MOTION: Authorize Chair to sign the Cost Participation and Maintenance Agreement with the North Dakota Department of Transportation outlining responsibilities for the Main Avenue Construction project.
