Commission Minutes—June 2, 2014 4300 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS JUNE 2, 2014 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER Chairman Ken Pawluk called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Chad M. Peterson, Darrell Vanyo, Mary Scherling, Vern Bennett, and Ken Pawluk. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Heather Worden led the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Bennett moved and Mrs. Scherling seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mrs. Scherling moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the addition of two contracts and an appointment to Canvas Board to the consent agenda; and Flood Diversion monthly billing to the regular agenda. Motion carried. 5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Peterson seconded to approve the consent agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. a. Approve a special event permit for B & G Beverages II, Inc. d/b/a the Town Hall Bar to serve alcoholic beverages on Saturday, June 7, 2014, during the hours of 12:00 PM to 2:00 AM on June 8, 2014, for a wedding reception at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds in West Fargo, North Dakota; and a special event permit for B & G Beverages II, Inc. d/b/a the Town Hall Bar to serve alcoholic beverages on Saturday, June 14, 2014, during the hours of 12:00 PM to 2:00 AM on June 15, 2014, for a wedding reception at Bonanzaville, U.S.A. in West Fargo, North Dakota. b. Renew county beer license for 2014 for The Vineyard, LLC, subject to review and approval by the State's Attorney, Sheriff, and township board. c. Grant final plat approval for Minnkota Page Subdivision in Section 5, Township 142N, Range 54W of the 5th Principal Meridian, Cass County, North Dakota. d. Authorize the chairman to sign a purchase order with Cretex Concrete Products in the amount of $61,815 for a bridge project in Pontiac Township; and purchase order with True North Steel in the amount of $19,908 for a bridge project in Noble Township. e. Authorize funding for 2014 flood sales tax projects as follows: Mapleton Levee Recertification for $445,825 plus Alternate 1 for $97,500; Pontiac Township Improvement District for $500,000; Upper Maple River Dam for $706,000; Lake Bertha Flood Water Detention for $242,500; and Detention Project Development for $143,325. f. Contract approval - Sanford Medical Center—mental health services for jail inmates;
