At this time, The Cass County Vector Control District is requesting your <br /> jurisdiction-- 1.Initiate advanced mosquito control activities in your area and <br /> 2. Initiate funding methodologies to provide for the above activities. <br /> Enclosed is an"enhanced" mosquito control service contract for you and <br /> other officials to review. <br /> Cass County Vector Control is introducing enhanced contracts to several <br /> other peri-urban jurisdictions similar to yours. The aforementioned contracts <br /> are based upon a formula historically used in Cass County Cities. <br /> Your included contract is formulated on a per household fee of$12 per year. <br /> Although in some instances this enhanced contract will still not fully satisfy <br /> current activities in all areas, officials of Cass County and I feel that this is the <br /> best middle of the road approach. We will continue to monitor expenditures <br /> throughout the county to ensure we are providing as much service as can be <br /> afforded. <br /> I would gladly meet with you and members of your community to discuss <br /> these matters and prepare for the upcoming season. Additionally,there is a <br /> Vector Board Meeting Scheduled on 2/20/14 at 10:30am in the Fargo <br /> Commission Room where you can address the board with questions. Please <br /> contact me for further details. <br /> If you and your community are agreeable to the terms, please sign the contract <br /> and return the original to Vector Control prior to May 1St. Retain a copy for <br /> your own records. <br /> After May Pt and in absence of a signed enhanced service contract, you will <br /> then receive a standard adult control contract. <br /> If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.
