Commission Minutes—April 7, 2014 4277 <br /> REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> APRIL 7, 2014 <br /> 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br /> Chairman Ken Pawluk called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br /> follows: Chad M. Peterson, Darrell Vanyo, Mary Scherling, Vern Bennett, and Ken Pawluk. <br /> 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> Heather Worden led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 3. MINUTES APPROVED <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Peterson seconded that the minutes of the <br /> previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> 4. AGENDA, Order approved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the order of the <br /> agenda with the additions of a request to solicit for a fundraising benefit <br /> and a Disclaimer of Interest, Stipulation and Order for Dismissal of Cass <br /> County in NSP suit regarding CapX2020 transmission line project to the <br /> consent agenda; the Flood Diversion monthly billing to the regular <br /> agenda; and removal of the Cass County Youth Commission report from <br /> the regular agenda. Motion carried. <br /> 5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Scherling moved and Mr. Peterson seconded to approve the <br /> consent agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> a. Amend Personnel Policy Section 7.40, Hours of Work, Overtime/Compensatory <br /> Time to clarify language regarding overtime and compensatory time usage. <br /> b. Approve Resolution #2014-3 proclaiming the month of April as National County <br /> Government Month: <br /> NATIONAL COUNTY GOVERNMENT MONTH APRIL 2014 <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> "Ready and Resilient Counties: Prepare. Respond. Thrive." <br /> WHEREAS, the nation's 3,069 counties serving more than 300 million Americans <br /> provide essential services to create healthy, safe, vibrant and <br /> economically resilient communities; <br /> WHEREAS, counties build infrastructure, maintain roads and bridges, provide health <br /> care, administer justice, keep communities safe, run elections, manage <br /> solid waste, keep records and much more; <br />
