Commission Minutes—February 3, 2014 4257 <br /> REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> FEBRUARY 3, 2014 <br /> 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br /> Vice Chairman Chad M. Peterson called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with members <br /> present as follows: Darrell Vanyo, Mary Scherling, Vern Bennett, and Chad M. Peterson. <br /> Ken Pawluk was absent. <br /> 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> Heather Worden led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 3. MINUTES APPROVED <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Bennett seconded that the minutes of the <br /> previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> 4. AGENDA, Order approved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Scherling seconded to approve the order of <br /> the agenda and add a request to solicit for a fundraising benefit to the <br /> consent agenda; and the monthly Flood Diversion billing to the regular <br /> agenda. Motion carried. <br /> 5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Scherling moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the consent <br /> agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> a. Authorize the county auditor to transfer funds from the Emergency and Flood <br /> Mitigation Fund to the Flood Buyout Fund for home buyout expenses. <br /> b. Receive and file Indemnity Bonds on Lost Instrument for Mackhoff Kellogg Law <br /> Firm, Britta Johnson, and Katie Jacobson; and authorize the county auditor and <br /> county treasurer to issue duplicate checks. <br /> c. Authorize the chairman to sign the annual maintenance certification form which <br /> states that the county is properly maintaining highway construction projects that <br /> receive federal aid. <br /> d. Approve a special event permit for Hooligans to serve alcoholic beverages on <br /> March 28, 2014, during the hours of 4:00 PM to midnight, and March 29, 2014, <br /> during the hours of 9:00 AM to 1:00 AM (March 30, 2014) for the United Games <br /> annual pool tournament to be held at the Hartl Agricultural Building, Red River <br /> Valley Fairgrounds, in West Fargo, North Dakota. <br /> e. Contract approval <br /> - North Dakota Department of Transportation—construction and maintenance <br /> agreement for a bridge project on a township road approximately one mile <br /> north of Enderlin on the Maple River. <br /> f. Allow the promotion and holding of a benefit lunch on February 14, 2014, at noon <br /> in the Cass County Courthouse cafeteria for Vicki Meyer, Courthouse employee. <br />
