<br />Commission Minutes-August 16, 2004 <br /> <br />2774 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AUGUST 16, 2004 <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairwoman Robyn Sorum called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with members present as <br />follows: John Meyer, Robyn Sorum, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. Darrell Vanyo was <br />absent. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Joyce Schepp led the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Meyer seconded that the minutes of the last <br />regular meeting held August 2, 2004, and minutes of the budget meetings <br />held August 11, 12 and 13, 2004, be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda as distributed. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />WEED CUTTING NOTICE, Authorize publication in official newspaper <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to authorize publication of <br />the annual notice for weed cutting. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />BOND FOR LOST INSTRUMENT, Wells Farao Real Estate: Jerry Sheldon <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to receive and file Indemnity <br />Bonds on Lost Instrument for Wells Fargo Real Estate and for Jerry <br />Sheldon; and authorize the county treasurer and the county auditor to <br />issue duplicate checks. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />AUDITOR'S OFFICE, Monthly financial statement received <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to receive a monthly <br />financial statement provided by the county auditor. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />SOCIAL SERVICES, Rati board action on Ie islative issues <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to ratify the legislative <br />resolutions as approved by the Cass County Social Service Board at a <br />meeting held August 2, 2004. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />
