Commission Minutes-August 16, 2004 2774 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS AUGUST 16, 2004 1. MEETING TO ORDER Chairwoman Robyn Sorum called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with members present as follows: John Meyer, Robyn Sorum, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. Darrell Vanyo was absent. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Joyce Schepp led the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Meyer seconded that the minutes of the last regular meeting held August 2, 2004, and minutes of the budget meetings held August 11, 12 and 13, 2004, be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the order of the agenda as distributed. Motion carried. 5. WEED CUTTING NOTICE, Authorize publication in official newspaper MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to authorize publication of the annual notice for weed cutting. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 6. BOND FOR LOST INSTRUMENT, Wells Farao Real Estate: Jerry Sheldon MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to receive and file Indemnity Bonds on Lost Instrument for Wells Fargo Real Estate and for Jerry Sheldon; and authorize the county treasurer and the county auditor to issue duplicate checks. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 7. AUDITOR'S OFFICE, Monthly financial statement received MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to receive a monthly financial statement provided by the county auditor. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 8. SOCIAL SERVICES, Rati board action on Ie islative issues MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to ratify the legislative resolutions as approved by the Cass County Social Service Board at a meeting held August 2, 2004. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
