Original High Plains Regional Rendezvous Association <br /> Board Business meeting,Monday, June 18, 2012 <br /> Meeting called to order at 2:04pm by Chairman Mike Gjersvig. <br /> Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br /> Purser's report: Garrett moved to approve minutes and financial report of the OHPRRA as read. Motion <br /> seconded and approved. <br /> Webmaster: Motion was made,seconded and approved to officially select Lee Tibbutt as the new Webmaster, <br /> no report given. <br /> Chiefs'Council: Tod provided update from the Chiefs Council. They support the 2014 ND bid from Jan Zaeske and <br /> Gail Jordahl, but would like them to pursue the private land option. They also support the change to the constitution <br /> concerning seed money amount and control. <br /> National Publication Manager: PHN bill should be in the mail. Laci has developed guidelines for advertising to be <br /> shared with Booshways. <br /> Transitioning Board positions: Dave will not be running again. As in the past, the nominator will speak on behalf of the <br /> nominee when nominations are made. <br /> 2012 Report: Parking issues are solved, water issue is resolved. There were 174 camps at Opening Ceremonies. <br /> 132 were pre-registered. There are 60-70 in Short Term. All 250 medallions have been sold. <br /> 2013 Report: $8775 in expenses at this time. Advertising is being done mostly through flyer distribution. The break- <br /> even is estimated at 130 camps. They expect a good crowd. There are good roads to the site, but they need to clear <br /> more space yet. <br /> Old Business: <br /> 2014 High Plains bidders: Jan and Gail presented a bid to host the 2014 HPRR near Fort Ransom State Park. They <br /> are currently pursuing state land, but there may be an option on the private land across the road. The site is south of <br /> Valley City, ND. Jan is asking to see 2-weeks of visitation statistics to get an idea of public traffic. <br /> Camper Registration Form: Booshway and Segundo were not aware if the registration form is being used or not. <br /> They questioned whether a number in the window would work better than license plate numbers? Board members <br /> provided that the form works and is available. That is the best the Board can offer, as it is not required to use. This <br /> item can be removed from the agenda. <br /> AED Update: 1 adult pad is current. The pads from 2011 were kept. Ped's Pads are current until 2014. Jo reported <br /> that a Specialist in Nebraska advised the battery expiration isn't a big deal, since we pull batteries for all but one week <br /> of the year. This can be removed from the agenda. <br /> Website Forms: No webmaster to provide information. [Purser's note—Camper Registration, Event Financial Form, <br /> and Booshway Planning Guide, among other forms/information, could be made readily available on the website.] <br /> Visible Period-Correct Guidelines: MN forgot to include in packets. This is a difficulty with Board actions transferring <br /> to yearly activities. Discussion ensued. <br /> Booshway Book Online: Jo believes Lee has her information. <br /> Constitutional Amendment Dave moved to send the amendment to the General Assembly on Tuesday. Motion <br /> was seconded. Discussion ensued. Dave called to Question. Motion approved. <br /> New Business: <br /> Board Prizes: Dave moved to allocate$1200 to Board prizes. Motion seconded and approved.. Jo and Garrett <br /> volunteered to purchase prizes with Purser. Jo will be second signature. <br /> Garrett moved to adjourn the Board business meeting.
