<br />Projects included in the short-range project list will be scheduled for funding and construction in <br />COG's Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP). Short-range projects are expected to be <br />constructed by 2010. Prior to updating the MTP in 2008, it is likely that some of the projects <br />from the long-range project list will also be programmed for funding and construction in the TIP. <br /> <br />Within the five-year span between the this MTP and the next Plan update, it is expected that sub- <br />area studies and corridor studies will further define specific improvements needed to improve or <br />maintain the efficiency and condition of the metropolitan area roadway network. These types of <br />improvements have been anticipated in some cases, while others have not. In some cases the <br />results and recommendations of these studies will need to be amended into the Plan.
