The revision expands the authority to issue <br /> mandatory evacuations to the "principal executive officer of the county or city This <br /> authority was previously granted only to the governor. <br /> As a result of this amendment, I am proposing a revision of Cass County Commission <br /> Policy 16.50 to reflect the changes in state law. The proposed revision also contains <br /> language from the "Cass County Emergency Operations Plan, Annex II, Evacuation <br /> Plan" that describes the evacuation process previously approved by the commission. <br /> This revision has been reviewed by Mr. Berndt, Sheriff Laney and Mr. Benson. <br /> Dave Rogness <br /> Emergency Manager <br /> Proposed Motion: I move that Commission Policy 16.50 be revised as proposed. <br />
