<br />Commission Minutes--August 2, 2004 <br /> <br />2760 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AUGUST 2, 2004 <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairperson Robyn Sorum called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present <br />as follows: John Meyer, Robyn Sorum, Darrell Vanyo, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Scott Wagner led the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda with the addition of a contract amendment with the North Dakota <br />State Water Commission. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Approved for Nora Church WELCA <br />MOTION, passed . <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve a raffle permit for <br />the Nora Church WELCA to be held October 2, 2004, at Nora Lutheran <br />Church of Gardner, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />CONTINUANCE OF GOVERNMENT, Plan adopted <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to adopt a Continuance of <br />Government Plan for Cass County Government to assure the capability <br />exists to continue essential agency functions throughout any potential <br />emergency. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />OMITTED ASSESSMENT, Approved for Dwiaht Anderson <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to add an 18.27 acre tract in <br />the NE 114 of 16-137-50 as omitted property for 2004 in the amount of <br />$52,000 total value, according to notice sent from the county auditor to <br />Dwight Anderson, Kindred, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />PERMITS FOR SPECIAL EVENTS, Approved for Holiday Inn <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve a special event <br />permit for the Holiday Inn of Fargo, to cater an event for the International <br />Sunflower Association at Bonanzaville, U.S.A., on August 30, 2004, from <br />6:00 PM to 11 :00 PM. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />
