<br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES OF VIRTUAL / CONFERENCE CALL SPECIAL MEETING <br />RUSH RIVER WATER RESOURCE DISTRICT <br />ORIGINATING AT THE CASS COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT <br />WEST FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA <br />JULY 25, 2022 <br /> <br /> <br />A virtual / conference call special meeting of the Rush River Water Resource District was <br />held on July 25, 2022, at 8:00 a.m. <br /> <br />Present were William A. Hejl, Chairman; Richard Sundberg, Manager; Jacob Gust, <br />Manager; Carol Harbeke Lewis, Secretary-Treasurer; Melissa Hinkemeyer, <br />Administrative Assistant; Sean M. Fredricks, Ohnstad Twichell, P.C.; Kurt Lysne, Alexa <br />Ducioame and Brady Woodard, Moore Engineering, Inc.; and Mike Opat, Houston <br />Engineering, Inc. <br /> <br />Facility inspection report <br />Brady Woodard presented the 2022 inspection report for the Rush River Water Resource <br />District facilities. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Manager Gust and seconded by Manager Sundberg to authorize <br />Moore Engineering, Inc. to hire a contractor to complete repairs at the following sites: <br />• Drain #29A Sites #4, #10, #17, #25, #26, #29 and #32 through #36 <br />• Drain #30 Sites #2, #3, #5, #8 and #9 <br />• Drain #52 Sites #1 through #5, #7 and #11 <br />• Drain #67 Sites #1 through #5 <br />• Drain #70 Site #1 <br />• Drain #74 Site #2 <br />• Lower Rush River Sites #2, #4, #5, #7, #8 through #12 and #14 through #20 <br />• Upper Rush River Sites #3 through #5, #8, #9, #17, #19, #20, #25 through #29, <br />#32 through #34 and #41 <br /> <br />Mr. Woodard indicated Moore Engineering, Inc. will continue to monitor the slides that are <br />not recommended for repair at this time. If the slides begin to impact roadways or private <br />property, Mr. Woodard will bring the information to a future meeting to discuss repair <br />options. <br /> <br />The Board further discussed Drain #52 crossing repairs and directed Moore Engineering, <br />Inc. to obtain quotes from contractors to repair the crossings. The Board also discussed <br />the erosion at Drain #52 Site #5 and directed Mr. Woodard to communicate with <br />Casselton Township officials regarding the erosion and recommend the Township close <br />the adjacent road and install additional signage in the area for the safety of motorists. <br />
