Kurt Lysne noted the Buffalo Creek between Sections 19 and 30 in Everest
Township is not included in the federal Buffalo Creek project that Maple River Water
Resource District maintains and thus the Water Resource District does not have a
mechanism for assisting with funding for the project. The Board encouraged Ms. Weber
to explore eligibility for cost-share from the North Dakota Department of Water Resources
(NDDWR) and the Cass County Flood Sales Tax Committee. Ms. Weber indicated
Everest Township will look into the suggested cost-share possibilities for the project.
