Commission Minutes-April 6, 1998 1790 DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS APRIL 6, 1998 1. MEETING TO ORDER Chairperson Donna Schneider called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four members present as follows: Robbie Quick, John Meyer, Alon Wieland and Donna Schneider. Paul Koenig was absent. 2. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to approve minutes of the last regular meeting held March 16, 1998. Motion carried. 3. AGENDA, Order aDproved MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the following additions to the consent agenda: 1) contract with North Dakota Department of Human Services, and 2) Social Services budget adjustment. Motion carried. 4. AUDITOR, Award of Financial Reporting Achievement MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to present "Award of Financial Reporting Achievement" to County Auditor, Michael Montplaisir. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. 5. NATIONAL COUNTY GOVERNMENT WEEK, ADril 19-25. 1998 MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to authorize the chairperson to sign proclamation of National County Government Week April 19-25, 1998. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 6. COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL, Amend Section 4.00. Advisory Boards MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to amend Commission Policy Manual Section 4.00, Advisory Boards, by appointing Charles Scilley to the City of Leonard Planning and Zoning Commission from the extraterritorial jurisdiction to fill a vacancy for a term to expire July 1, 2003. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
