<br />Commission Minutes-April 6, 1998 1790 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />APRIL 6, 1998 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairperson Donna Schneider called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four members present <br />as follows: Robbie Quick, John Meyer, Alon Wieland and Donna Schneider. Paul Koenig was <br />absent. <br /> <br />2. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to approve minutes of the <br />last regular meeting held March 16, 1998. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA, Order aDproved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda with the following additions to the consent agenda: 1) contract <br />with North Dakota Department of Human Services, and 2) Social Services <br />budget adjustment. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AUDITOR, Award of Financial Reporting Achievement <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to present "Award of <br />Financial Reporting Achievement" to County Auditor, Michael <br />Montplaisir. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. The <br />Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in <br />governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment <br />represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its <br />management. <br /> <br />5. NATIONAL COUNTY GOVERNMENT WEEK, ADril 19-25. 1998 <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to authorize the chairperson <br />to sign proclamation of National County Government Week April 19-25, <br />1998. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL, Amend Section 4.00. Advisory Boards <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to amend Commission <br />Policy Manual Section 4.00, Advisory Boards, by appointing Charles <br />Scilley to the City of Leonard Planning and Zoning Commission from the <br />extraterritorial jurisdiction to fill a vacancy for a term to expire July 1, <br />2003. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br />
