<br />Commission Minutes--January 5, 1998 1756 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />JANUARY 6, 1998 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />A meeting of the Cass County Board of Commissioners was called to order at 3:30 PM by the <br />board's 1997 chairman, Alon Wieland, with the following members present: Robbie Quick, Paul <br />Koenig, John Meyer and Alon Wieland. Due to another commitment, Donna Schneider arrived at <br />4:00 PM. <br /> <br />2. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to approve minutes of the <br />last meeting held December 16, 1997. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve order of the <br />agenda with the following addition: contract approval for City of Fargo <br />and City of West Fargo for board of prisoners. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. COMMISSION CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR, Elected for 1998 <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to elect Commissioner <br />Donna Schneider as Cass County Commission Chair for 1998. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to elect Commissioner <br />Robbie Quick as Vice Chair for 1998. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Hearing no objection from other board members, Mr. Wieland continued to chair the meeting until <br />Mrs. Schneider arrived. <br /> <br />6. MEETING DATES/ROTATIONAL MEETINGS/ROBERT'S RULES OF ORDER/DESIGNATE <br />PARLIAMENTARIAN <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to adopt 1998 schedule of <br />meetings as the first and third Monday of each month (Tuesday if <br />Monday is a holiday) at 3:30 PM, with rotational meetings at 1 :30/2:30 PM <br />on Commission meeting days, and special meetings as called and to <br />forward a copy of the meeting schedule to the Secretary of State and the <br />County Auditor's Office; to adopt Robert's Rules of Order for conducting <br />meetings; and to appoint Commission Secretary Joyce Schepp as <br />parliamentarian for Cass County Commission proceedings for 1998. On <br />roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br />
