Commission Minutes--August 4, 1997 1674 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />- 4. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> AUGUST 4, 1997 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: <br />Donna Schneider, Paul Koenig, John Meyer, Roberta Quick and Alon Wieland. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded that the minutes of the <br /> last regular meeting of July 21, 1997 and the minutes of the special <br /> meeting (County Board of Equalization) held July 30, 1997, be approved <br /> as written. Upon roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve the order of <br /> the agenda with the following additions to the consent agenda: <br /> commendation letter to Joel Young, who is resigning as Cass County <br /> Vector Control Director, and Social Services out-of-state travel. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> <br />REGISTER OF DEEDS EMPLOYEE, Proclaim "Arlene Sprunk Day" in Cass County <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to proclaim August 4, 1997 <br /> as "Arlene Sprunk Day" in Cass County and send a letter of <br /> commendation for her 35 years of service to the Cass County Auditor's <br /> Office and Register of Deeds. Mr. Wieland read the letter and presented <br /> it to Mrs. Sprunk, along with a plaque honoring her for dedicated service. <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />VECTOR CONTROL DIRECTOR, Letter of appreciation to Joel Young <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to send a letter of <br /> appreciation to Joel Young, Cass County Vector Control Director, upon <br /> his resignation from the mosquito abatement program. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. Mr. Wieland read the letter and presented <br /> it to Mr. Young, accepting the resignation with regrets. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL OVERVIEW COMMITTEE, Ratify actions of July 21, 1997 <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to ratify Personnel Overview <br /> Committee action of July 21, 1997, amending Personnel Policy Section <br /> 6.00 making the sick leave policy consistent for all county employees by <br /> <br /> <br />
