Commission Minutes--May 5, 1997 1617 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> MAY 5, 1997 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Donna Schneider, Paul Koenig, John Meyer, Roberta Quick and Alon Wieland. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Quick seconded that the minutes of the <br /> previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve the order <br /> of the agenda with the addition of a budget procedural item to the <br /> consent agenda and adding a flood update report from FEMA (Federal <br /> Emergency Management Agency) as the first item on the regular <br /> agenda. Motion carried. <br /> <br />m <br /> <br />WEST FARGO SCHOOL DISTRICT, Joint Powers Agreement MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve joint <br /> powers agreement between Cass County and the West Fargo School <br /> District to hold joint elections, according to letter from Michael <br /> Montplaisir, County Auditor, dated April 16, 1997. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve out-of- <br /> state travel for Bruce Jorgensen and DuWayne Nitschke to attend <br /> Fraternal Order of Police Training May 7-8, 1997, in Minneapolis, MN. <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT, Acting pay request approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve acting pay <br /> request from Kathleen Ziegelmann, Director of Southeast Regional <br /> Child Support Enforcement Unit, for Heidi Glick, who has been <br /> temporarily assigned for non-training purposes to the half-time <br /> receptionist position effective May 1, 1997 through December, 1997 if <br /> the arrangement continues to work out for the unit; this action being <br /> pursuant to Cass County Personnel Policy Section 7.20. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
