Commission Minutes--January 21, 1997 1570 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> JANUARY 21, 1997 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Donna Schneider, Paul Koenig, John Meyer, Roberta Quick and Alon Wieland. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded that the minutes of the <br /> previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />= <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order a_~roved MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve the order <br /> of the agenda, with the following additions: to the consent agenda, <br /> adding contracts with Stutsman County for juvenile detention and <br /> board of prisoners; appoint portfolio commissioner for water resource <br /> boards; approve two alcoholic beverage permits; adopt emergency <br /> snow declaration; and to the regular agenda, remove request from <br /> Assistant State's Attorney Stephen Dawson; and add settlement <br /> agreement with AT&T for telephone fraud. Motion carried. <br /> <br />ABATEMENT FOR DUANE LUTHER, Denied MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Quick moved and Mr. Koenig seconded that Abatement #4058 <br /> submitted by Duane Luther be denied, based on the facts presented <br /> and as recommended by the Director of Equalization. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PRAIRIE PUBLIC BROADCASTING, Letter of support for television training grant <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Quick moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to provide a letter of <br /> support to Prairie Public Broadcasting indicating compliance with Cass <br /> County's Comprehensive Land Use Plan, which will be submitted with <br /> their grant application for funding television training. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED PROPERTY, Chairman and auditor to sign deed to City_ of Fargo <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Quick moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to authorize the chairman <br /> and county auditor to sign one county deed to the City of Fargo for sale <br /> of tax-forfeited property. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
