Commission Minutes--January 6, 1997 1562 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> JANUARY 6, 1997 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />A meeting of the Cass County Board of Commissioners was called to order at 3:30 PM by last <br />year's vice chair, Donna Schneider. The oath of office was administered by Judge Georgia <br />Dawson to Paul Koenig, John Meyer, and Roberta Quick as commissioners elected at the <br />November 5, 1996 general election. All members of the commission were present as follows: <br />Donna Schneider, Paul Koenig, John Meyer, Roberta Quick and Alon Wieland. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded that the minutes of the <br /> previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve the order of the <br /> agenda, adding a resolution of support for Sheriff's Deputy Michael <br /> Grande to the consent agenda. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMISSION CHAIR/VICE CHAIR, Elected for 1997 MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to elect Commissioner Alon <br /> Wieland as Chairman of the Cass County Board of Commissioners for <br /> 1997 and to elect Donna Schneider as Vice Chair for 1997. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. Mr. Wieland conducted the <br /> remainder of the meeting. <br /> <br />1997 MEETING DATES ESTABLISHED; PARLIAMENTARIAN DESIGNATED <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to adopt 1997 schedule of <br /> meetings as the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month (Tuesday if Monday <br /> is a holiday) at 3:30 PM, with rotational meetings at 2:0012:30 PM on <br /> Commission meeting days, and special meetings as called; to adopt <br /> Robert's Rules of Order for conducting meetings; and to appoint <br /> Commission Secretary Joyce Schepp as parliamentarian for Cass <br /> County Commission proceedings for 1997. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL, Amend Section 1.30 (Commissioner Portfolios <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to amend Commission <br /> Policy Manual Section 1.30, Commissioner Portfolios, as follows: On <br /> roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
