Minutes--January 4, 1993 975 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />JANUARY 4, 1993 <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE, Administered to newly elected commissioners <br />District Judge Norman J. Backes administered the Oath of Office to <br />newly elected Cass County Commissioner Bernie M. Ness and to re- <br />elected commissioners, Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint and Don Eckert. <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Alon wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all <br />members present as follows: Don Eckert, Steve Risher, Bernie M. Ness, <br />Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint and Alon Wieland. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the <br /> minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Advisory boards moved to regular agenda, order of agenda set <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded to move the item <br /> on advisory boards from the consent agenda to the regular <br /> agenda. Motion carried on roll call vote with Mr. Risher, <br /> Mr. Wieland and Mr. Eckert voting "Aye," Mr. Ness and <br /> Mrs. Toussaint opposing. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve the <br /> order of the agenda, moving advisory boards to the regular <br /> agenda and adding board of prisoners, juvenile detention <br /> and Fargo Community Health under contract approvals. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMISSION CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR, Elected for 1993 MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to elect Sharon <br /> "Pepper" Toussaint as Cass County Commission Chair for 1993 <br /> and to elect Steve Risher as Vice Chair for 1993. On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously. Mr. Wieland handed <br /> the gavel to newly elected chair, Sharon Toussaint. <br /> <br />COMMISSION MEETING DATES, ROTATIONAL MEETINGS, ROBERT'S RULES <br />ORDER, PARLIAMENTARIAN DESIGNATED <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to adopt 1993 <br /> schedule of Cass County Commission proceedings and <br /> rotational meetings as the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month <br /> (Tuesday if Monday is a holiday) at 3:30 PM and special <br /> meetings as called; to adopt Robert's Rules of Order for <br /> conducting meetings and to appoint Commission Secretary <br /> Joyce Schepp as parliamentarian for Cass County Commission <br /> proceedings.
