Minutes--Special Meeting, September 15, 1992 916 <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />SEPTEMBER 15, 1992 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 1:00 PM with all <br />members present as follows: Don Eckert, Gene Shannon, Steve Risher, <br />Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint and Alon Wieland. <br /> <br />CONTRACT APPROVAL, ADA remodeling <br />Mr. Wieland said the State's Attorney reviewed the contract for grant <br />funds from the Governor's Committee on Employment of People With <br />Disabilities. County Coordinator Bonnie Johnson prepared the grant <br />application for making physical improvements to meet ADA guidelines, <br />and the grant award was made to Cass County Government in the amount <br />of $18,000, to be matched by 20% county funds. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to authorize <br /> the Chairman to sign the contract for ADA grant funds. On <br /> roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />COUNTY PARKING LOT, Committee appointed to present proposal <br />Auditor Michael Montplaisir reported that the Fargo City Commission <br />approved the County parking plan at their meeting on September 14th, <br />and he suggested forming a committee to present a proposal at, the <br />September 21st County Commission meeting. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Shannon seconded to authorize a <br /> committee to proceed with the parking lot plan and bring a <br /> proposal to the next regular County Commission meeting for <br /> paving the former Gethsemane lot east of the courthouse; <br /> the committee to consist of Michael Montplaisir, Keith <br /> Berndt and Bonnie Johnson. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />BUDGET REVIEW <br />Commissioners began a line-by-line review of the proposed 1993 county <br />budget. <br /> <br />ADJOURN, Continue budget review on September 17th MOTION, passed <br /> The special meeting was adjourned about 5:00 PM.
