Minutes special meeting--April 1, 1991 645 <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />COORDINATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM MEETING <br />1:00 PM, APRIL 1, 1991, MINUTES <br /> <br /> Ail five commissioners were present to review the coordinated <br />management system prior to the commission meeting on April 1, 1991. <br />The session was conducted by model project consultant, Scott Kildahl. <br />Mr. Kildahl reviewed the portfolio system, how it should function in <br />terms of the role of individual commissioners, the role of the <br />commission chair and the role of the commission coordinator. <br /> <br /> Kildahl stressed that individual work plans should be completed <br />as soon as possible so that each portfolio commissioner can meet with <br />the appropriate department head and all parties can sign off on the <br />plans. When completed, and in time for the May commission meeting, <br />the county coordinator will collect all of the work plans from the <br />commissioners and have them bound as working documents. Copies will <br />then be distributed to all commissioners for a review. Finally, when <br />all commissioners are satisfied, commission approval will be sought <br />for the total work plan. After that point, ongoing departmental <br />activities will correspond to and evolve toward completion of the work <br />plan.
