Contin- <br />gency Fund <br />Supt. of Schools ofc <br />and Jury Room to be <br />air cond. <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF CASS COUNTY, NORTH DAKOTA <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the Cass County Road Department be paid $842.84 <br />from the County Emergency Fund for their work during the power outage in the Courthouse adition last <br />month. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that Scott Krueger, Administrative Assistant, be <br />authorized to attend the Government Finance Officers Association meeting in Chicago on May 25 -29, 1985. <br />The motion carried on roll call vote with four members voting "Aye" and Mr. Wieland opposing. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to receive and file the Indemnity Bonds on Lost <br />Instrument for the Minneapolis War Memorial Blood Bank and for Mr. Wendell Meyer, and to authorize the <br />County Auditor to issue duplicate checks. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve payment of the bills to the American <br />National Bank of St. Paul for fees for Refunding Improvement Bonds for the South Acres Sewer and Water <br />project in the amount of $94.67 and for the Chrisan and Riverdale Subdivisions Street Improvement <br />projects in the amount of $172.01. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the Satisfaction <br />and Discharge of Trust Mortgage on Lot 12, Block 7, Morton and Doty's Addition to the City of Fargo. On <br />roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the County Auditor be authorized to pay the bill <br />to Boerth's Frame and Mirror, Inc. in the amount of $76.28 for matting and framing a picture of the Cass <br />County Courthouse. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and <br />of $600.00 for rental of <br />unanimously. Motion carried <br />asked Commissioners Eckert and Wieland to investigate the possible future sale <br />On motion by Mrs. Stanton and seconded by Mr. Eckert, the meeting was adjourned. <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />APRIL 30, 1985 <br />Chairman Ray Larson called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members were present. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as <br />corrected. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Jeff Volk from the Moore Engineering Company was present regarding a wastewater stabilization <br />pond and sanitary sewer improvements for the cities of Reiles Acres and Harwood. Mrs. Stanton moved and <br />Mr. Eckert seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign a letter to the Mayor of Harwood stating that <br />the Commission has reviewed the plans and find that it is not inconsistent with any development plans for <br />the area where the facility will be located, this being subject to approval of the Cass County Planning <br />Commission. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Stanton suggested that Mr. Volk <br />contact the Chairman of the County Planning Commission to present the plans at their next meeting. <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign utility permits <br />for the force main of the wastewater stabilization pond for Reiles Acres and Harwood at three locations: <br />north of Reiles Acres on County Road 20, across County Road 81, and in the City of Harwood across County <br />Road 22. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Chairman and the Auditor be authorized to sign <br />the Quit Claim Deed from Cass County to Earle J. Lean for Drain #27 as presented by the Southeast Cass <br />Water Resource District. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Upon the recommendation of the County Road Superintendent, Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall <br />seconded to approve the following utility permits: Wischer Aviation of Grandin to cross County Road 11 <br />in the northeast corner of Section 5, Kinyon Township; Cass County Electric, Inc. to cross County Road 15 <br />at five locations in Warren Township; Cass County Electric, Inc. to cross County Road 4 in the southeast <br />quarter of Section 5, Berlin Township; Northwestern Bell Telephone to cross County Road 81 to bury a new <br />cable from Fargo to Grandin. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Correspondence was received from the State Water Commission asking if there will be any changes for <br />the next two years in the cost of the office space rental for a State engineer at the County Road <br />Department building and for secretarial services. The Commission asked the Road Superintendent to <br />discuss a possible change in location within the building with the State engineer, and to report back <br />next week. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to pay for moving the Veterans Service Office from the <br />Cass County Annex to the Courthouse at an estimated cost of $138.00 from the County Contingency Fund. On <br />roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize Johnson Controls to do the work necessary <br />to extend the lines for air conditioning the Superintendent of Schools Office and the Jury Room on third <br />floor at a cost of $2,150.00.
