On roll call vot~, the motion carried unanimously.

Former County Commissioner, Patricia Wold, appeared to request the Commission
to consider hiring an Administrative Assistant, and she would like to be considered
for the position on a part-time basis at the same monthly salary she received as a
I County Commissioner. She felt that with the continued growth of County Government
and more control and responsibilities given to the counties, she could be of assistance
to the Commissioners in doing research, attending meetings and writing letters.
With the County's present hiring freeze and the shortage of funds, the Commission
decided to take the request under advisement for the next couple of weeks.

The Commission received an A-95 Review Form from the Metropolitan Council of
Governments for a project of the North Dakota Rural Development Corporation to provide
comprehensive employment training for migrant and seasonal workers. Mr. Larson moved
and Mrs. Stanton seconded to grant an "Unfavorable Review" due to the large amount
I of money being requested for this project. On roll call vote, the motion carried
\;lnanimously.

The County Auditor presented copies of the State Audit prepared by the
State Auditor's Office for Cass County. The audit will be discussed further at a
later date.

On motion by Mr. Larson and seconded by Mrs. Stanton, the meeting was adjourned.

REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

JANUARY 11, 198~

Chairman Eckert called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members
were present.

Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting
be approved as written. Motion carried.

Steve Grindberg, County Road Superintendent, requested the signature of the
Chairman and the Auditor on a Supplementary Agreement for Construction Engineering
Services for the Federal Aid Secondary Project 2.5 miles east of Tower City,
said agreement being between the State Highway Department, Cass County and the
Houston Engineering Company. Mr. Grindberg stated that it was necessary to provide
additional engineering services on this project, and the State Highway Department
has agreed to pay $11,792.00 for this 1979 flood related project rather than the
original project cost of $6,500.00. Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded
that the Chairman and the Auditor be authorized to sign the agreement which will
be at no cost to Cass County. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.

Mr. Grindberg reported on some price quotations he received for a new pick-up
for the County Road Department. Mr. Larson asked him to come back with some price
quotations on a regular-sized diesel pick-up.

Lee Sprague from the Moore Engineering Company presented a plat of Riverwood 3rd
Subdivision located in Fargo Township. At a meeting of the Cass County Planning Commission
this morning, the plat was approved subject to the water facilities being private wells
or else hooked up to the City of Fargo; subject to the subdivision being linked to the
Fargo sewer system; subject to being annexed to the Fargo City limits in order that the
City of Fargo would issue the building permits; and subject to lOth Street in Fargo
being moved over to line up with an existing road in .the subdivision and changing an
approach in order to alleviate traffic problems. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson
seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the above plat with the above
stipulations as agreed upon by the Cass County Planning Commission. On roll call vote,
the motion carried unanimously.
