I 1 i I Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. to the F-M Civic Opera Company Oxbow Country Club on the date unanimously. Stanton seconded to grant a Site Authorization Permit for the purpose of holding games of chance at the of June 7, 1982. On roll call vote, the motion carried Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to grant a special permit to i Robert L.. Schroeder, Jr. d/b/a the Farmer's Inn of Arthur for the retail sale of beer on the date of June 5, 1982 at the location adjacent to the Erie Township Hall situated on Lots 5 and 6, Block 7, Original Townsite, Erie Township. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. The Board viewed a demonstration on the punchcard voting system. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Auditor be authorized 'to pay $24,012.00 to the Meinecke-Johnson Company on their contract for the Courthouse Addition. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. On motion by Mr. Larson and seconded by Mr. Hendrickson, the meeting was adjourned. REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MAY 25, 1982 Chairman Wold called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members were i present. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. Mr. Irv Rustad from the Lake Agassiz Regional Council presented a quarterly report, and the Board commended him for his work. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Larson seconded to grant Site Authorization to the Red River Human Services Foundation to conduct games of chance at the Hickson Bar and Lounge for the period of July 1,-1982 through June 30, 1983. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. The Auditor read a letter from th~ Fargo Fire Department making some recommendations iafter a recent inspection of the Cass County Courthouse. One recommendation was for new electrical outlets on the south end of the building to eliminate the use of extension cords which are old and brlttle. Mr. Hendrickson and Mr. Eckert will contact the Fire Department to see if it would be satisfactory to replace the worn extension cords as a temporary 'measure since a remodeling project is being planned in the future. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to receive and file the following monthly reports for April: Motion carried. Rush River Water Resource District North Cass Water Resource District Maple River Water Resource District Southeast Cass Water Resource District Cass County Veterans Service Mr. Tom Jensen, County Social Services Director, appeared before the Board to encourage them to consider granting a salary increase to the employees on July 1st even if it would have to be minimal. Discussion was held on the intent of the Board's motion of May 11th whereby Department Heads were instructed to prepare the six month budget of July 1 through December 31, 1982 at the same salary level as at present. Board members differed in their opinions but in closing, Mrs. Wold stated that there is no guarantee one way 'or the other on employee salaries. The decision will be made at budget time. Discussion continued on the Proposed Policy Schedule for County Employees. On motion by Mrs. Stanton and seconded by Mr. Hendrickson, the meeting was adjourned.
