Deanna Kensrud, Cass County Reg~ster of Deeds, <br />was also present. The Board was told that they could contact Mr. Glenn Boldenow, <br />the State Director of Records Management, to help evaluate the needs of Cass County <br />and help determine the type of equipment that would best suit all departments. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson stated that a business show will be held next Tuesday and Wednesday <br />at the Fargo Holiday Inn for microfilming companies to conduct seminars, and the Board <br />suggested that interested department heads be encouraged to attend. It was suggested <br />that a committee be formed to study microfilming, and the matter was placed on the agenda <br />in 2 weeks. <br /> <br />The Board delayed payment of a bill until next week for an oil furnace which was <br />installed at the County Shop to burn waste oil. Mr. Hendrickson stated that the Commissiol <br />authorized the installation of such a heater at a cost of $1,200.00 but the bill is in <br />excess of this amount. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded to authorize the Chairman to sign <br />the contracts executing the agreement made on the date of March 23, 1982, awarding the <br />bid for the special improvement district road paving in the Forest River Subdivision in <br />Stanley Township. On roll call vote, the motion carried with four members voting "Aye" <br />and Mr. Larson being absent. <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to authorize the Chairman to sign <br />the amendment to the agreement between Cass County and Koehnlein, Lightowler and <br />Johnson, Inc. for professional engineering services on the Forest River paving project, <br />as agreed upon by the property owners in the special improvement district. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried with four members voting "Aye" and Mr. Larson being absent. <br /> <br />Mr. Hendric_kson_ moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that Vouchers No. 22,989 through <br />No. 23,754 and Revenue Sharing Vouchers No. 301 through No. 306 be approved and ordered <br />paid. On roll call vote, the motion carried with four members present voting "Aye". <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded to issue a 1982 County Beer License <br />to the Minn-Kota Racing Association. On roll call vote, the motion carried with four <br />members present voting "Aye". <br /> <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to grant a Dance Permit to the <br />Bottineau Alumni Association for a public dance at the Commercial Building, Red River <br />Valley Fairgrounds, on the date of May 14, 1982. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried with four members present. voting "Aye". <br /> <br />The Commission decided to place an advertisement in the Farmer's Section <br />of The Forum calling for informal bids on renting the County's pasture land in <br />Rochester Township. <br /> <br />The Auditor reported on a letter from the North Dakota Association of Counties <br />citing a short-fall in State funds: to counties. The expected reductions in Cass County <br />would be $12,415 in State Revenue Sharing and $115,186 less in highway aid. <br /> <br />The Board continued to review the booklet on Policy Schedule for County employees. <br /> <br />On motion by Mrs. Stanton and seconded by Mr. Eckert, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />APRIL 13, 1982 <br /> <br />! <br />I <br />1 be <br /> <br />Chairman Wold called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members were present. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />I <br />Plat of RiverwoOd! Lee Sprague from the Moore Engineering Company presented a plat of Riverwood Second <br />Second Subd. I Subdivision which is a part of the SW~ of Section 18, Fargo Township, and is within <br />approved with i the two-mile jurisdiction of the City of Fargo. Concern was expressed on the sewer and <br />contingency : water system to be used. On the water system, Mr. Sprague stated that any well serving <br />I a subdivision or a rural community has to be approved by the State Health Department <br />: and inspected periodically. Mr. Eckert also expressed concern over the noise level <br />II because of the nearness of Hector Airport. Mr. Larson moved and Mr. HendriCkson seconded <br />I to approve the plat of Riverwood Second Subdivision as having reviewed it and approving it <br />i contingent upon being connected with the City of Fargo sewer system.
