Upon the recommendation of Mr. Miller, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that Abatement #3737 for Norman Diede be approved as submitted. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that Abatement #3738 for Alice Otos Eggert be-approved in accordance with the recommendation of Mr. Miller. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimouSly. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that Abatement #3739 for Kenneth A. Toop be approved in accordance with the recommendation of Mr. Miller. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Upon the recommendation of Mr. Miller, Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that Abatement #3743 for Burton Larson be approved as submitted. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimOUSly. Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that Abatement #3744 for Guy Gubrud be approved in accordance with the recommendation of Mr. Miller. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that Abatement #3746 for Royce Rodacker be approved in accordance with the recommendation of Mr. Miller. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Committee reports were given. Discussion was held on the booklet of Policy Schedule for County Employees. Hoehn - Auditor Cass County, North Dakota REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS APRIL 6, 1982 Chairman Wold called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members were present. An Invocation was given by the Chairman. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Larson seconded to accept the recommendation of Steve Grindberg, County Road Superintendent, to grant utility permits to the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company and to Cass County Electric, Inc. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Upon the recommendation of the County Road Superintendent, Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to approve the replacement of a bridge in Section 21-28, Lake Township, with a low water crossing at an estimated cost of $10,000.00, the County Drain Board to share in the cost. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Dave Halter from the Moore Engineering Company appeared before the Board to explain the proposed project of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for a flood diversion channel around the city of West Fargo. He stated that the earliest possible start of construction would be five years, and the plans are very flexible at this time. The Corps of Engineers is now in the process of getting local support, but there will project if they do not get it. The total estimated cost of the project is 16 million with most of the funding coming from the Corps of Engineers.
