Commission commends you on your work of over Cass County Social Service Office. The Cass County 28 years in the Through your many years of employment, you have been a genuine asset to Cass County and to the citizens you have served. You have been a leader in implementing many of the major child welfare changes that have occurred. In your early work with the Children's Center, you were directly involved with high risk families. As super~zisor of the Family Service Unit, you have provided direction to major changes in child protective services and in foster care. In early 1990, Cass County's transition to a Family Based system of care was a na~Ca~l==~l~in re structuring child welfare services. In 2001, you again demonstrated excellent leadership skills in coordinating the Cass County portion of the successful federal/state comprehensive Children and Family Services Review. In addition to your service to the county, you have served your community through many outside local and statewide organizations. Your involvement in the Mental Health Association of the Red River Valley, Rainbow Bridge, FirstLink, the Region Five Children's Services Coordinating Committee, and the state-wide Child Welfare Supervisors Committee are just a few examples of your community service.
