<br />Chairman Hendrickson called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members
<br />'were present.
<br />
<br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting
<br />be" appr6ved as written. Motion carried..
<br />
<br />Mrs. Stanton discussed new laws passed by the 1981 Legislature which affect
<br />the County.
<br />
<br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that bids be opened at 10:00 A.M.
<br />for the 2nd phase of the Cass County Courthouse Addition. On roll call vote,
<br />the motion carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />The following bids were received for the general construction on the interior
<br />of the Courthouse Addition:

<br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the above bids be received and
<br />referred to the Architect, Richard Moorhead, for evaluation and a report to the Board
<br />next week. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />Chairman Hendrickson asked the Board members to consider adopting a resolution
<br />of intent to join with the City of Fargo in a regionaL airport authority, and the matter
<br />will be placed on the agenda for next week.
<br />
<br />Upon the request of the Cass County Sheriff's employees, the Chairman appointed
<br />a committee of three Commissioners to meet with three from the Sheriff's Department
<br />to discuss their request for a cost of living increase for the 1981-1982 fiscal year.
<br />The meeting will be held Monday, June 1st.
<br />
<br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Board tentatively set 10%
<br />as a cost of living increase plus a step increase for County employees for the
<br />1981-1982 fiscal year as a basis for Department Heads to prepare their budget requests.
<br />The motion carried on a roll call vote with four members voting "Aye" and Mr. Larson
<br />opposing.
<br />
<br />Committee Reports were given.
<br />
<br />On motion by Mr. Larson and seconded by Mr. Eckert, the meeting was adjourned.
