Motion carried. <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of the County Road Superintendent, Mrs. Wold moved and <br />Mr. Eckert seconded that the Board accept the informal bid of F-M Asphalt, Inc. <br />in the amount of $11,258.50 for the dirt excavation and paving of the remainder of the <br />Juvenile Detention Center parking lot. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Lee Sprague from the Moore Engineering Company appeared before the Board with <br />a Plat of Gardner Manor Addition in the City of Gardner. The developer was requested <br />by the city to extend one of the streets, and they would then need approval from the <br />County for an approach on County Road 81. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded <br />that the County grant approval for an approach on County Road 81 in the City of Gardner, <br />to be constructed at the expense of the developer. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Grindberg reported that he talked to the City Auditor of Grandin regarding a <br />drainage problem they are having along County Road 81, and the County Road Department <br />will be working to solve the problem. <br /> <br />The committee which was appointed by Chairman Hendrickson to study the County's <br />pay scale system was present to make a report to the Board on their findings and <br />recommendations. The Commissioners commended this committee for their efforts and fine <br />results. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the County Board adopt the <br />pay scale as proposed by this committee, effective July 1, 1981. The Board received a proposal from the Cass County employees for a 19% cost of living <br />?ost of living ! increase plus a merit step increase for the 1981-1982 fiscal year. <br />~ncrease ! <br /> <br />Salary proposal <br />from Shff. Dept. <br /> <br />The Cass County Sheriff's Department was represented by Joe Amundson from the <br />Teamsters Union. For the 1981-1982 fiscal year, the Sheriff's Department is requesting <br />a 23% cost of living increase plus a merit step, dental insurance coverage and a mileage <br />increase of five cents per mile.
