Motion carried. <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of the County Road Superintendent, Mrs. Stanton moved and <br />Mr. Eckert seconded that Mr. Grindberg be authorized to put an overlay on about one mile <br />of County Road 26 west of Page, which is breaking up and in need of repair. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the community of Durbin be authorized <br />to block off a portion of County Road 9 to traffic for a Homemaker's Day celebration, <br />providing they state in writing that the County will not be responsible for any accidents. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs.. Stanton seconded that the County offer a $100.00 reward <br />for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone vandalizing County <br />road signs. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the Board receive and file the <br />petitions to reconstruct County Road 38 from Interstate 94 to State Highway 46. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the County Road Superintendent <br />request funds to put an 'overlay on County Road 38 from Interstate 94 to State Highway 46. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. The Board will drive over this road <br />after the meeting next Wednesday. <br /> <br />Discussion was held with representatives of the Southeast Mental Health and <br />Retardation Center and with Sheriff pon Rudnick on the administration of the <br />Public Inebriate Program in the County Jail. The Board discussed charging a fee <br />of $15.00 per day, but left it to the discretion of the counselor from Southeast Mental <br />Health whether to charge a person for th~ second and third nights if it is their <br />recommendation that the person stay more than one night. He stated that there are 15 new laws, <br />and about 12 of them relate to tax exemptions or tax credits. <br /> <br />A request was received from the Oxbow Country Club of Hickson for a special permit <br />to sell and serve alcoholic beverages for the North Dakota State Bankers Association <br />Convention on Sunday, May 17, 1981. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the <br />County grant a special permit to the Oxbow Country Club for the consumption of <br />alcoholic beverages on Sunday, May 17, 1981, according to the North Dakota Century Code <br />Section 5-02-05.1; and that a fee of $10.00 be charged for such a permit. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the Board receive and file the <br />proposal submitted by Karen Campbell for the County to rent office space in the <br />800 block on West Main Avenue in West Fargo for use by the County Extension Department. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of the Buildings and Grounds Committee, Mr. Larson moved <br />and Mr. Eckert seconded that the County purchase a larger motor to increase the air flow <br />in the County Jail at a cost of $389.00 plus the cost of necessary wiring.
