<br />Chairman Stanton called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members
<br />Iwere present.
<br />
<br />i Mr. Satrom moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting
<br />'be approved as written. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Upon the request of the Fargo Board of Education, County Road Superintendent
<br />;Steve Grindberg obtained an updated estimate of $11,000 for paving the remainder of the
<br />parking lot at the Juvenile Detention Center. He stated that the cost to the
<br />'Fargo Board of Education for the west portion which they use for employee parking
<br />would be approximately $4,800.00.
<br />
<br />Upon the recommendation of Mr. Grindberg, Mr. Satrom moved and Mr. Hendrickson
<br />seconded that a letter be written to the City of West Fargo informing them that the
<br />'bridge between Sections 7-18, Barnes Township, will be their responsibility since the
<br />property was annexed into the City of West Fargo. On roll call vote, the motion carried
<br />.unanimously. .

<br />Mr. Grindberg stated that he has been reviewing the road and bridge program, and he
<br />feels that the County should spend money on maintaining the present blacktop roads
<br />rather than blacktopping new roads.
<br />
<br />Notification was received that the term of Commission member, Pat Wold, expires
<br />iJuly 31, 1980, on the County Social Service Board. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Satrom
<br />seconded that the name of Mrs. Pat Wold be submitted to the State Social Service Board
<br />for reappointment. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />Representatives from the Southeast Mental Health and Retardation Center presented
<br />:a proposed cooperative agreement for the Public Inebriate Program located in the
<br />County Jail. They stated that they have increased the travel allowance to the County
<br />to $4,500 per year, and they have increased the reimbursement for food to $1,500.
<br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson'seconded that the County renew the contract
<br />'with Southeast Mental Health for the Public Inebriate Program. On roll call vote,
<br />the motion carried 'unanimously.
<br />
<br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign
<br />,the four Satisfaction and Discharge of Trust Mortgages for property in Steele County,
<br />the City of Davenport, Richland County and Anoka County, Minnesota. On roll call vote,
<br />,the motion carried unanimously.

<br />Bids were received at 10:00 A.M. from the following for the construction of an
<br />addition to the Cass County Courthouse:

<br />Meinecke-Johnson Company
<br />J. E. Krieg & Sons
<br />T. F. Powers Construction Company
<br />D. C. Trautman Company, Inc.
<br />
<br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the above bids be referred
<br />to the Architect for his recommendation. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the meeting be recessed until 9:00 A.M.
<br />on June 2nd to review the Architect's recommendation on the bids. Motion carried.

<br />Architect Perry Clark was present to discuss the bids received
<br />to the Courthouse. Upon the recommendation of the Architects, Mrs.
<br />seconded that the Board approve the brick finish for the Courthouse
<br />vote, the motion carried unanimously.

<br />of $559,500.00. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.

<br />On motion by Mrs. Wold and seconded by Mr. Hendrickson, the meeting was adjourned.
