N....D:-;ii!il:\~ <br /> <br />ADJOURNED MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />MAY 14, 1980 <br /> <br />Chairman Stanton called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members <br />were present. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the minutes of the previous <br />meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Sondrall stated that he will meet with the County Planner regarding the <br />State Highway Department meeting he attended concerning the proposed widening of 32nd Avenue <br />South from Interstate 29 east to Highway 81. He stated that 500' of this road is outside the: <br />Fargo city limits, but he did not know who would be responsible for that portion. <br /> <br />Controlled access' Mr. Maurice Anderson from the City of Fargo Planning Department presented a proposed <br />agreement signed: agreement for limiting the number of accesses to County Road 6, or 52nd Avenue South, <br />on C6--Chm. auth.! in order to have a specific policy on record which is oriented toward future urban <br />to sign agreement, development. Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the Chairman be authorized <br />betw. City of Fgo,; to sign the controlled access agreement between the City of Fargo, the County and the <br />Co. & St. Hwy. I State Highway Department. Good <br />approved <br /> <br />Abate. for <br />Leonard Rath <br />approved <br /> <br />Stan Thurlow and Kim Nesvig from the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments <br />appeared before the Board to explain the Area-Wide Community Housing Plan. Mr. Thurlow <br />stated that the purpose is to develop a 3-year plan to allocate funds to the areas that have <br />the most need for rental housing units. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Wold seconded <br />that the County Board endorses the housing allocation plan submitted by the Metropolitan <br />Council of Governments. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Satrom reported on the problem of pipes leaking at the new Cass County <br />Campsite building. A County Park Baord meeting will be held next Wednesday, May 21st. <br /> <br />Mr. Satrom moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the following Officer's Reports <br />for April be received and filed: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Clerk of Court <br />County Court <br />Register of Deeds <br />Sheriff <br /> <br />$ 2,455.00 <br />$25,627.27 <br />$ 7,155.50 <br />$ 4,021.14 <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Wold seconded <br />development the A-95 Review from the Metropolitan <br />wastewater sewer plan for the City of Riverside. <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />that the Board table until further <br />Council of.Governments for the proposed <br />On_roll call vote, the motion carried <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign <br />the Grant Award and Acceptance from the North Dakota Law Enforcement Council for the <br />Juvenile Court 4th Probation Officer:. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of the County Director of Tax Equalization, Mr. Satrom <br />moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the five Applications for Abatement and Settlement of <br />Taxes for Klitzke Brothers, Inc. be approved as submitted. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of the County Director of Tax Equalization, Mr. Hendrickson <br />moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Application for Abatement and Settlement of Taxes <br />for Theodore and Darlene Waalen be approved as submitted for the years 1978 and 1979. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimoUSly. <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of the County Director of Tax Equalization, Mr. Hendrickson <br />moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the Application for Abatement and Settlement of Taxes <br />for Thompson Brothers, Inc. be denied for the reason that the property is assessed uniform <br />with other comparable property in the City of West Fargo. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of the County Director of Tax Equalization, Mr. Satrom moved <br />and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the Application for Abatement and Settlement of Taxes <br />for Lelan C. Good by Glenwood Murphy be approved as submitted. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of the County Director of Tax Equalization, Mrs. Wold moved <br />and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the Application for Abatement and Settlement of Taxes <br />for Leonard and Inez Rath be approved as submitted. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />
