M. Gregory. The motion carried on a roll call vote <br />with Mr. Satrom and Mrs. Stanton opposing. <br /> <br />Mr. Lee Sprague from the Moore Engineering Company presented a proposal for a <br />!sewage collection system for a small rural development south of Kindred. <br />Sanitarian Richard Brumfield stated that he is in favor of this project. Mrs. Wold <br />moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the Board has reviewed and approves the grant application <br />to the Farmers Home Administration for the sewage collection system. The motion carried <br />on a roll call vote with all members voting "Aye". <br /> <br />Upon the request of Sheriff Rudnick, Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded <br />that the Chairman be authorized to sign the Grant Application to the North Dakota <br />Law Enforcement Council for continued funding of the WOrk Release Coordinator for the <br />Jail, the cost to the County being $9,490.36. The motion carried on a roll call vote <br />with all members voting "Aye". <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Hendrickson and seconded by Mrs. Wold, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />ADJOURNED MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />JANUARY 16, 1980 <br /> <br />Chairman Stanton called the meeting to order and four members were present, <br />Mr. Hendrickson being absent. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of the ~ounty Road Superintendent, Mr. Satrom moved <br />and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Road Department's equipment rental rates be increased <br />by 25%. The motion carried on a roll call vote with all members voting "Aye". <br /> <br />Mr. Grindberg and Mr. Sondrall r€ported on the National Association of Counties <br />,meeting they attended in Denver, Colorado, on January 10th and lIth concerning <br />'bridge funds to the Counties. <br /> <br />Upon the request of Attorney Duane Breitling appearing on behalf of the <br />Cass County Drain Board, Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the Chairman <br />and the Auditor be authorized to sign right of way easements to the State Highway <br />Department for their project at 52nd Avenue South between Interstate 29 and <br />Highway 81 south of Fargo. The motion carried on a roll call vote with all members <br />voting "Aye". <br /> <br />Mr. Phil Johnson appeared before the Board representing the North Dakota Savings <br />and Loan League to request the County's cooperation in obtaining a clarification <br />of the law on the investment authority for counties and other political subdivisions. <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the Cass County Board of Commissioners <br />go on record as authorizing Mr. Phil Johnson to represent Cass County in a <br />Declaratory Judgement Action regarding investment of public funds, at no expense <br />to the County. The motion carried on a roll call vote with all members voting "Aye". <br /> <br />Mr. Satrom moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the Application for Abatement <br />and Settlement of Taxes submitted by Leonard and Inez Rath be received, filed <br />and referred to Stanley Township.
