AMENDED ITEMS--MAY 20, 2002 <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA: <br /> <br />Purchase order for new jail--additional equipment <br />SUGGESTED MOTION: <br />Move to authorize the chairman to sign a purchase order with Nodak Stores for the <br />purchase of additional equipment for the new jail in the amount of $10,673.61. <br /> <br />Contract approval--grant funds for Youthworks under the Juvenile Justice & <br />Delinquency Prevention Act <br /> <br />SUGGESTED MOTION: <br />Move to authorize the chairman to sign the 2002 application for funding on behalf of <br />Youthworks under the Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention Act, according to a <br />letter provided by Glenn Ellingsberg, Cass County Sheriff's Department. <br /> <br />SUGGESTED MOTION: <br />Move to approve the following contract submitted by the respective department head, <br />subject to state's attorney approval, and authorize the chairman to sign: Industrial <br />Builders for the Cass County bridge in Berlin Township in the amount of $326,569.19. <br /> <br />Contract approval--amended first page (Contract Approval Request) for Cass County <br />Highway 26 reconstruction project showing the apparent Iow bidder is Mark Sand & <br />Gravel Acquisition Company in the amount of $2,519,682.48. <br /> <br />Resolution for Brian Shorten, who has resigned as Executive Director of the Fargo- <br />Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments. <br /> <br />SUGGESTED MOTION: <br />Move to authorize the chairman and the auditor to sign Resolution #2002-9 for Brian <br />Shorten, who is leaving this area after 16 years of service as Executive Director of the <br />Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments. <br /> <br />Delay lifting spring load restrictions, according to memorandum from county <br />engineer dated May 20, 2002 <br /> <br />SUGGESTED MOTION: <br />Move to delay the removal of spring load restrictions for Cass County gravel highways <br />from May 21,2002 until May 30, 2002. <br /> <br />M:\MINUTES\Comm2002~AMEND5-20AGN.doc <br /> <br /> <br />
