Commission Minutes--January 7,2002 2397 DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS JANUARY 7, 2002 1. MEETING TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by the 2001 Chairman, John Meyer, at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Donna Schneider, Alon Wieland, Scott Wagner, Robyn Sorum and John Meyer. 2. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wagner seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 3. AGENDA, Order aDDroved MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the following changes to the consent agenda: 1) adding mental health public defender contract with Ottmar and Ottmar Law Firm; 2) ratify Personnel Overview Committee actions of January 7th; 3) request by Social Services employee for annual leave extension; 4) moving two items to the regular agenda at Commissioner Sorum's request. Also added to the regular agenda were an awards presentation by the North Dakota Department of Transportation and a personnel request by the Extension Service. Motion carried. 4. COMMISSION CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR, Elected for 2002 MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to elect Commissioner Alon Wieland as Cass County Commission Chairman for 2002 and to elect Commissioner Scott Wagner as Vice Chairman for 2002. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Wieland presided over the remainder of the meeting. 5. COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL, Amend Section 4.00. Advisorv Boards MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to amend Commission Policy Manual Section 4.00, Advisory Boards, with appointments to non-statutory boards with commission service as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
