A copy of the
grant has been forwarded to the States Attorney for comment.

These units assist in identifying fake Driver's Licenses or those
that have been altered which has become an increasing problem in
our area. These ID units will assist in our "Cops in Shops"
program which is a cooperative effort between off-sale and bars to
reduce the number of underage purchases.

The total grant is for $3,675. This is 100 percent federal
funding and requires no local match.

A sample motion might read:

Move to approve the contract with the North Dakota
Department of Transportation in the amount of $3,675 for
purchase of equipment to be used in identifying fake or
altered Driver's Licenses.

If you have any further questions, please call.

RespectfU? ~ \ "

~~

Major Glenn Ellingsberg ~
Group Commander

enclosure/1

pc

Don Rudnick, Sheriff
Lt.
