<br /> <br />51 <br />situated within the County and abutting on any street, alley, or <br />right-of-way in which there is now or may in the future be <br />located a public sanitary or combined sewer of the County, is <br />hereby required at the owner’s expense to install suitable toilet <br />facilities therein, and to connect such facilities directly with the <br />proper public sewer in accordance with the provision of these <br />regulations, within 60 days after date of official notice to do so, <br />provided that said public sewer is within 200 feet of the <br />property line for a single unit, 400 feet for 2 units, 600 feet for <br />3 units, 800 feet for 4 units, and 1,000 feet for 5 to 15 units. <br /> <br />TABLE VIII <br />Size of Development Distance <br />1 Unit 200 feet <br />2 Units 400 feet <br />3 Units 600 feet <br />4 Units 800 feet <br />5-15 Units 1,000 feet <br /> <br /> For developments with more than 15 units and located within <br />one mile of an existing public sanitary sewer system adequate <br />justification shall be provided to the superintendent as to why <br />they should not provide a connection to the existing public <br />sewer system. For developments with more than fifteen and <br />located more than one mile from an existing system, the <br />sanitary sewer system strategy shall be determined by the <br />superintendent on a case-by-case basis, taking into <br />consideration the density of development and cost. <br /> <br /> In all cases the engineer for the City and the engineer for the <br />District must agree that the Project and sewage treatment <br />facility of the City have sufficient capacity to handle the added <br />sewage which will result from the new hookup or hookups, <br />and that the proposed collection system is adequate and <br />meets or exceeds the quality of the original collection system <br />of the Project.
