As you know, the Board heard five appeals from concerned property owners. The local assessment officials and I are still reviewing those appeals and a recommendation will be made for the scheduled Commission meeting on July 6th. There will be an additional appeal or two for the Board to hear on the 6th also. Also, it's the duty of the County Board to equalize the assessments of cities and townships. I have reviewed some of the jurisdictions and am recommending that the Board raise certain jurisdictions (see attached recommendations). Those affected jurisdictions have been notified of my recommendation to raise their assessment. I will have additional adjustment recommendations for the meeting on July 6th also. Also, three landowners have also applied for the inundated land classification. I have reviewed those applications and recommend approval as listed. The County Board has approved these same applications for a number of years.
