Motion carried. Plat of Twin Meadows Subd. approved Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the Plat of Twin Meadows Subdivision in Sections 29 and 30, Barnes TownShip, be approved and the Chairman be authorized to sign the plat. Motion carried. Report on constr'i The County Road Superintendent reported that the County Road 31 bridge project is prjcts. iprogressing well, and construction has started on the road leading to the new Convent bridge. Gambling Permit i Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the Board approve the Application approved for I for a Gambling Permit for St. Benedict's Church at Wild Rice for November 10, 1978. ClubiHerb Johnson's Barn near Arthur on November 4, 1978. Motion carried. ! Report on Child Support Enforce- ment Program , 'Bonnie Sorenson, Director of the Regional Child Support Enforcement Program, !presented the 1978 fiscal year report on the department. The Board commended them on I their efforts. I Appraisal of Tax-i Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the parcels of land forfeited Forfeited Land ito Cass County for delinquent taxes be appraised at the amount shown on the tax sale list, iwhich is the total amount of taxes owing. S~nce there are d~fferent viewpoints on the part of the Commissioners and the !public on this Revenue Sharing Measure, County funds will not be spent for the campaign. Appraisal on Ann~ The Auditor reported that he received the appraisal on the Cass County Annex from on Oct. 25th Agen.1 T. w. papa & Associates. The matter will be placed on the October 25th agenda. ! Disc. on status of Fargo bridge contract i Discussion was held on the status of the Fargo bridge contract. Mrs. Stanton moved ! and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the Chairman write a letter to the Fargo City Commission I asking that whatever proposal they have for the Fargo-Moorhead bridges be submitted to the I County Commissioners prior to the October 25th meeting. ADJOURNED MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OCTOBER 18, 1978 The meeting was called to order by Mr. Hendrickson and upon roll call, Mrs. Wold and Satrom were absent. Req. from City ofi The County Road Superintendent reported on these requests from the City of Harwood: Harwood for flas~ a hanging, flashing yellow light in front of the school over County Road 22 which they light over C22, iwould be willing to pay for themselves if the County is agreeable; a 4-way stop on for 4-way stop r County Road 22 and 81; and they are requesting a 30 mile per hour speed limit on land for reductionl Highway 81 through the City of Harwood. Mr. Sondrall moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded of speed limit I that the City of Harwood be allowed to install a flashing yellow light near the school on 81 through lover County Road 22 at their own expense. Motion carried. Mr. Hendrickson suggested Harwood I that the other two requests be referred to the State Highway Department for their comments. I I I i I Mr. i I i be !
