<br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the Chairman and Auditor
<br />'be authorized to sign the resolution for the Lake Agassiz Regional Council to make
<br />,application to the Federal Housing Administration for funds for rural housing
<br />[development projects. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Gordon Sletmoe and a representative of the State Disaster Office in Bismarck
<br />:reported on the flood situation. They stressed that anyone who had flood damage
<br />,should contact the County Disaster Emergency Services Office and report where they live
<br />land the amount of damage to their home or property. The Board commended Mr. Sletmoe
<br />on the tremendous job he has done during the flood.
<br />
<br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the Board approve the appointment
<br />of Mary Miller as 2nd Deputy Clerk of the District Court. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the letter from City Commissioner
<br />Donna Chalimonczyk concerning notices of meetings of the Solid Waste Committee
<br />be received and filed. Motion carried.

<br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the Chairman be authorized
<br />to sign the Right of Way Agreement and the Construction and Maintenance Agreement
<br />with the State Highway Department for the County Road 31 bridge project. Motion carried.

<br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that Vouchers No.49,846 through
<br />No. 50,493 and Revenue Sharing Vouchers No. 161 through No. 168 be approved and
<br />ordered paid. Motion carried.

<br />from the bell tower and taken to Bonanzaville, as requested by Mr. Ken McIntyre.

<br />of flood damage throughout the County. Upon his request, Mr. Hendrickson moved and
<br />:Mrs. Stanton seconded'that the following resolution be adopted and sent to the Governor:

<br />WHEREAS, Cass County, North Dakota, suffered damage to roads, bridges, culverts,
<br />farmlands, homes, businesses and other public facilities caused by flooding due to
<br />excessive spring run-off occuring in March and April, 1978; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the cost of cleanup, repair and replacement of such damaged facilities
<br />is far in excess of County resources available.
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Cass County Commissioners of
<br />.Cass County, North Dakota, declare this to be a disaster area.
<br />
