Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that a resolution be adopted <br />establishing the boundaries of the proposed Argusville Rural Fire Protection District. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson received a copy of a letter written to the County Director of Tax <br />Equalization from the Secretary of the North Dakota County Commissioners Association <br />requesting that Mr. Miller serve on an interim committee for the study of taxation, <br />the first meeting to be held on February 9th in Bismarck. Mr. Hendrickson moved and <br />Mrs. Stanton seconded that Clarence Miller serve on this committee, his expenses to be <br />paid by Cass County. Motion carried. <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Satrom and seconded by Mr. Sondrall, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />ADJOURNED MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 1, 1978 <br /> <br />Chairman Wold called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members were present. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the Board rescind their action <br />of January 11, 1978, to remove County Road 17 through the City of Riverside from the <br />County Road System. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Jail Architect Harold Halvorson appeared before the Board and presented a <br />certification froru Paul N. Breyer, President of Breyer-Nermyr Associates, on the <br />structural repairs to the Cass County Jail. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Sondrall <br />seconded that the letter from Paul N. Breyer be received, filed and included in the <br />official minutes of the Board of Cas& County Commissioners in its entirety as follows: <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />January 31, 1978 <br /> <br />ATTN: Mrs. Pat Wold, Chairman <br />Cass County Board of Commissioners <br /> <br />RE: Cass County Jail <br />Fargo, North Dakota <br /> <br />Dear Mrs. Wold: <br /> <br />Structural repairs to the Cass County Jail building have been completed. Staff structural <br />inspectors from BREYER-NERMYR & ASSOCIATES, P.C. have provided on-site surveilance <br />of the work throughout the project as required by the contract documents and have <br />completed a final' inspection of the project on January 16, 1978 in your company. <br /> <br />Based upon work observed during this surveilance and the inspection report, the structure <br />has been restored to a safe and useable condition. <br /> <br />'I hereby certify that the Cass County Jail, at the time of the final inspection, <br />meets the structural requirements of local building codes with variances as stated <br />in the Restoration Project contract documents and is structurally adequate for <br />irenewed occupancy. <br /> <br />Sincerely yours, <br /> <br />BREYER-NERMYR & ASSOCIATES, P.C. <br /> <br />Paul N. Breyer, P.E. <br />President <br /> <br />Architect Halvorson also presented a letter to the Board whereby he stated that the <br />directives as presented by the Grand Jury have been accomplished and all State and local <br />building codes have been complied with. He stated that the north wing on the <br />2nd and 3rd floors will possibly be occupied by next week.
