Motion carried. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that a resolution be adopted establishing the boundaries of the proposed Argusville Rural Fire Protection District. Motion carried. Mr. Hendrickson received a copy of a letter written to the County Director of Tax Equalization from the Secretary of the North Dakota County Commissioners Association requesting that Mr. Miller serve on an interim committee for the study of taxation, the first meeting to be held on February 9th in Bismarck. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that Clarence Miller serve on this committee, his expenses to be paid by Cass County. Motion carried. On motion by Mr. Satrom and seconded by Mr. Sondrall, the meeting was adjourned. ADJOURNED MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FEBRUARY 1, 1978 Chairman Wold called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members were present. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the Board rescind their action of January 11, 1978, to remove County Road 17 through the City of Riverside from the County Road System. Motion carried. Jail Architect Harold Halvorson appeared before the Board and presented a certification froru Paul N. Breyer, President of Breyer-Nermyr Associates, on the structural repairs to the Cass County Jail. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the letter from Paul N. Breyer be received, filed and included in the official minutes of the Board of Cas& County Commissioners in its entirety as follows: Motion carried. January 31, 1978 ATTN: Mrs. Pat Wold, Chairman Cass County Board of Commissioners RE: Cass County Jail Fargo, North Dakota Dear Mrs. Wold: Structural repairs to the Cass County Jail building have been completed. Staff structural inspectors from BREYER-NERMYR & ASSOCIATES, P.C. have provided on-site surveilance of the work throughout the project as required by the contract documents and have completed a final' inspection of the project on January 16, 1978 in your company. Based upon work observed during this surveilance and the inspection report, the structure has been restored to a safe and useable condition. 'I hereby certify that the Cass County Jail, at the time of the final inspection, meets the structural requirements of local building codes with variances as stated in the Restoration Project contract documents and is structurally adequate for irenewed occupancy. President Architect Halvorson also presented a letter to the Board whereby he stated that the directives as presented by the Grand Jury have been accomplished and all State and local building codes have been complied with. He stated that the north wing on the 2nd and 3rd floors will possibly be occupied by next week. The Board tentatively set the date of March 15th for an Open House.
