Motion carried. <br /> <br />Committee Reports were given. <br /> <br />Mr. Satrom moved that Cass County adopt a resolution, as several counties to the <br />. of Cass County have done, to disapprove all land sales to the North Dakota Fish and <br />Wildlife Service. Mr. Sondrall seconded the motion for discussion but stated that <br />he feels this should be a joint effort on the part of all 5 of the counties in the <br />East Central Commissioners Association since this was a unified stand by the 5 counties <br />to the south. Mrs. Stanton stated that if this is discussed at the next 5 County meeting, <br />that the Fish and Wildlife Service should also attend the meeting to state their views. <br />Mrs. Wold asked Mr. Sondrall to schedule this for the next 5-County meeting which will be <br />in Valley City in March. At the call of the question, the above motion failed with only <br />Mr. Sa trom voting "Aye". <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Satrom and seconded by Mr. Hendrickson, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />ADJOURNED MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />JANUARY 18, 1978 <br /> <br />Chairman Wold called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members were present. <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous <br />be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold asked the County Commission to pass a motion in support of a shredding <br />as the means for solid waste disposal. She reported that a meeting was held between <br />the County and City Attorneys, the County and City Auditors and a representative from <br />the State Health Department. The County Auditor stated that revenue bonds are being <br />considered for financing the opera~ion and the County may be able to issue the bonds <br />under the municipal authority. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that <br />Cass County Commission go on record ip favor of pursuing a shredding machine for <br />solid waste disposal. The motion carried with Mrs. Stanton and Mr. Satrom opposing. <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Upon written request of Art Lieb, Ju~enile Supervisor, Mr. Sondrall moved and <br />Mrs. Stanton seconded that Mr. Lieb be allowed to hire a court reporter. The motion carried <br />with Mr. Hendrickson and Mr. Satrom opposing. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the A-95 Review from the <br />Metropolitan Council of Governments for the Cass County Jail Work Release Coordinator <br />be granted a "Favorable Review". Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the A-95 Reviews from the <br />Metropolitan Council of Governments for waste water treatment for the cities of <br />Arthur, Page and West Fargo be granted a "Favorable Review". Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Satrom moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Application for Abatement <br />and Settlement of Taxes for National Alfalfa Dehydrating and Milling Company be received, <br />filed and referred to the City of Riverside. Motion carried. <br /> <br />. Mr. Satrom moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the following monthly reports for <br />[December, 1977, be received and filed: Motion carried. <br /> <br />Rush River Water Management District <br />North Cass Water Management District <br />Maple River Water Management District <br />Southeast Cass Water Management District <br />Cass County Veterans Service <br /> <br />Committee reports were given. <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson reported that he attended a meeting of the North Dakota <br />Association of Counties in Bismarck on Friday, January 13th. He presented copies <br />of a petition and requested that each Commissioner assist in getting signatures <br />from the residents of this County for State Revenue Sharing Funds. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold reported that she attended a meeting last Friday regarding the Regional <br />Child Support Enforcement Program. She also presented a letter from Donald K. Johnson <br />of the State Social Services Board in response to the Board's discussion of January 4th <br />regarding this program.
