K BERNDT282-2226 <br /> <br />STATES ATTORNEY SIGNATURE: <br />STATES ATTORNEY COMMENTS: <br /> <br />PORTFOLIO COMMISSIONER SIGNATURE: <br /> <br />NOTE: This is a proposed contract with Airborne Custom Spraying for Aerial <br />Mosquito Control. The Cities of Fargo and West Fargo have been asked to consider <br />similar contracts. The intent is to have contracts in place so if a decision is made to <br />aerial spray it could be done on relatively short notice. Under the proposed <br />arrangement Fargo and West Fargo would contract directly with the contractor and pay <br />the contractor with City funds if the Cities are sprayed. The County would fund the <br />spraying of the Rural Subdivisions around the Urban Fringe. The cost of one <br />application would be approximately as follows: <br /> <br />Fargo: $44,000 <br />West Fargo: $11,000 <br />Cass County Urban Fringe: $6,000 <br /> <br />If the contract is approved, I'd recommend that the County areas only be sprayed if <br />F argo elects to spray.
