Commission Minutes—November 17, 2014 4387 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS NOVEMBER 17, 2014 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER Chairman Ken Pawluk called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Chad M. Peterson, Darrell Vanyo, Mary Scherling, Vern Bennett, and Ken Pawluk. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Heather Worden led the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Bennett moved and Mrs. Scherling seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Peterson seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the addition of a raffle permit and contract for deed to the consent agenda and request to the State Water Commission for reimbursement of Fargo flood control costs to the regular agenda. Motion carried. 5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Scherling moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the consent agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. a. Authorize the chairman to sign the 2014-2015 Federal aid program sheet for road and bridge projects. b. Approve a poker permit for Cowboy Up to hold a tournament on November 28, 2014, at the Knickerbocker Liquor Locker in Hickson, North Dakota. c. Approve omitted assessments according to notices sent to property owners by the county auditor. d. Receive the monthly financial statement from the Auditor's Office for the month ended October 31, 2014. e. Authorize the chairman to sign a purchase order for a 2014 Ford Escape from Hatton Ford in the amount of$18,947 with funds to come from the Motor Pool Fund; and authorize the county auditor to offer at public sale a 2005 Dodge Stratus with the proceeds to be deposited into the Motor Pool Fund. f. Authorize the county to offer Highway Department vehicles at public sale with the proceeds to go back into the General Fund. g. Approve a raffle permit for the Chaffee Lions Club to be held January 6, 2015, at the Embden Farmer's Union Cenex in Embden, North Dakota. h. Authorize the chairman to sign a contract for deed with Brigitte R. Von Budde for repurchase of her home at 812 7th Street North in Fargo, North Dakota, for back taxes, specials, drains, penalties, interest and fees in the amount of $6,271.90 with a $1,000.00 down payment and payment of$260 per month for 24 months with interest at 3.25%, which is the prime rate at the Bank of North Dakota.
