The board of equalization meets to hear any individual appeals and to equalize property assessments among the various jurisdictions. It's my recommendation to simply hear any individual appeals on June 1 S`, recess, and to act on those individual appeals and to equalize other assessments on June 15`" Director of In North Dakota, the assessments are reviewed annually. The property tax is budget driven, in that budgets determine the total amount of tax to be Equalization collected. Assessments determine how much each property will bear in relation to the total tax burden.
