<br />Commission Minutes-March 2, 2009 3480 <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson will be attending flood preparedness meetings on Wednesday, March 4th and <br />Thursday, March 5th. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson said the Personnel Benefit Review Subcommittee will hold its first meeting <br />Thursday, March 5th at 2:30 PM in the Commission Room. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson said a meeting will be held Thursday, March 12th with Architect Terry Stroh to <br />continue discussions on the scope of services for the Joint Public Safety Building. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner will be attending the National Association of Counties (NACo) legislative <br />conference on March 6-11,2009, in Washington, D.C. He will provide an update at the next <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Bennett said a letter of resignation was submitted by Veteran's Service Officer Jim <br />Brent. Mr. Bennett said Mr. Brent has been with the county for 13 years and he thanked <br />him for his tireless service to county veterans. The board asked about the recruitment <br />process. Mrs. Johnson will look at the job description, which she will forward to <br />commissioners for review, and will then advertise for the position. She said the board is <br />responsible to hire a replacement, and can decide at the next meeting about other steps in <br />the process. <br /> <br />10. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Pawluk seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />_ Energy & Environmental Research Center final results and conclusions for <br />the Waffle Flood Mitigation Project (copy of the report is available in the <br />commission office). <br /> <br />11.
