Commission Minutes-March 2, 2009 3480 Mrs. Johnson will be attending flood preparedness meetings on Wednesday, March 4th and Thursday, March 5th. Mrs. Johnson said the Personnel Benefit Review Subcommittee will hold its first meeting Thursday, March 5th at 2:30 PM in the Commission Room. Mrs. Johnson said a meeting will be held Thursday, March 12th with Architect Terry Stroh to continue discussions on the scope of services for the Joint Public Safety Building. Mr. Wagner will be attending the National Association of Counties (NACo) legislative conference on March 6-11,2009, in Washington, D.C. He will provide an update at the next meeting. Mr. Bennett said a letter of resignation was submitted by Veteran's Service Officer Jim Brent. Mr. Bennett said Mr. Brent has been with the county for 13 years and he thanked him for his tireless service to county veterans. The board asked about the recruitment process. Mrs. Johnson will look at the job description, which she will forward to commissioners for review, and will then advertise for the position. She said the board is responsible to hire a replacement, and can decide at the next meeting about other steps in the process. 10.
