The following is a list of associated costs:

Acme Sign - changing signage at Annex & Courthouse
Bergstrom Electric - re-Iocate lights
Lynk3 Technologies, Inc - labor for cabling and parts
Christianson's Bus Furniture - Furniture
Christianson's Bus Furniture - Lifespace Walls / Install
Christianson's Bus Furniture - 3 - 4 shelf bookcases
Christianson's Bus Furniture - Labor moving files
Total

$ 1,438.00
1,078.48
2,369.85
72,599.27
54,125.00
1,239.50
580.00
S 133.430.10

The costs were paid from the State's Attorney budget ($30,000) and the Building
Fund ($103,430.10).

In addition to these costs, labor was supplied by the Maintenance and Information
Technology Departments. Also, both the State's Attorney and Veteran's Service
Offices spent time moving their offices to the new location.

An issue that has arisen as a result of the move is the need for a copier on the 3rd
floor, State's Attorney's Office. It is logical the office needs a copier and it was
mentioned in the State's Attorney's Office presentation of projected expenses for
2008 when Mr. Burdick presented his 2009 budget. However, no appropriation was
made in either the 2008 or 2009 budget for this equipment and a request was not
made to include it in the budget. A copier was ordered and has been delivered, but
at the present time we have no means to pay for the copier.

Our options are to either return the equipment or amend the budget to include
$12,825 for the copier. If we are to amend the budget we have several options-
the State's Attorney budget in the General Fund, essentially using reserves; the
State's Attorney Drug Restitution Fund, which has over $60,000; or the Building
Fund.

Sincerely,

/#[~~
Michael Montplaisir, CPA
County Auditor

cc:

Birch Burdick, State's Attorney
