Project Description:

Cass County has recently completed a road widening and maintenance overlay project on
Cass County Highway 17 which included the addition of turnlanes at all major
intersections, intersection safety accommodations (including a roundabout feature at the
52nd Ave S intersection), drainage improvements, and right of way acquisition, Due to
the costs associated with this project certain aesthetic accommodations were unable to be
facilitated. The tree plantings will finish the project by creating a visual buffer between
the large amount of residential development along this corridor and the increasing
amount of traffic this roadway experiences.
