12-22-2008

RECEIVED
DEe 2 ~ 2008

Board of Commissioners,

CASS COUNTY COMM!SSlm,:

I am writing to you requesting permISSIon to carry over excess
vacation hours past January 15 to the end of February, 2009. This past
April I experienced a transfer to the Jail during which taking leave
would not have been wise. Recently the staffing for my team has been
short or at minimum. I have requested vacation before January 15 but
it is not certain how much if any I will be granted. In February 2009 I
have requested an extended period of time off to travel to Nicaragua to
help build a school. I would use up excess vacation hours during this
trip.

Tim Olson

SUGGESTED MOTION:
Approve additional carry over of the annual leave balance for Tim Olson, Cass
County Jail employee, based on the exception allowed in the Cass County
Personnel Policy Manual, Section 6.00.
