Commission Minutes-December 15, 2008 3451 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS DECEMBER 15, 2008 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER Chairwoman Robyn Sorum called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Scott Wagner, Vern Bennett, Ken Pawluk, and Robyn Sorum. Darrell Vanyo was absent. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Bonnie Johnson led the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Bennett seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the order of the agenda with additions of a flood lot lease, resolution of commendation, and amended charity local permit. Motion carried. 5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the consent agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. a. Adopt a resolution of condolence for the family of Warren Diederich as follows: RESOLUTION OF CONDOLENCE #2008.18 WHEREAS, the Board of Cass County Commissioners has learned of the death of Warren Diederich of Fargo, North Dakota, on December 6, 2008; and WHEREAS, Warren Diederich was president and founder of Industrial Builders, Inc., a construction company involved with numerous county road and bridge projects, most recently the Cass County 20/Clay County 22 Red River bridge and Cass County 81 bridge replacement over the Sheyenne River; WHEREAS, Industrial Builders, Inc. has always been available to assist the county during emergencies, and has been instrumental in repair work to county roads and bridges following flood events;
